Cookie policy

Last updated:

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser so that it can recognise the browser on later requests. This page lists the cookies you may encounter on periotable.com and explains how to control them. It complements the privacy policy.

Cookies set by the site itself

None. periotable.com sets no cookies of its own: it has no accounts, no preferences to remember and no analytics script. The quizzes and calculators keep their state on the page only, and forget it when you leave.

Strictly necessary cookies from our host

The site is served by Cloudflare, which may set a small number of cookies needed to deliver the site securely and to tell people from automated traffic — for example __cf_bm, which expires after about 30 minutes. These cookies contain no personal information and cannot be disabled without preventing the site from working, which is why no consent is asked for them.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

Advertisements on the site are served by Google AdSense. When an ad is shown, Google and, in some cases, its advertising partners may set cookies such as:

CookieSet byPurposeDuration
IDEdoubleclick.netServing and measuring ads, limiting how often you see the same oneup to 13 months
test_cookiedoubleclick.netChecks whether the browser accepts cookies15 minutes
NIDgoogle.comAd preferences and personalisation6 months

The exact list varies with the ads that are shown and your region. Google describes its cookies and how it uses the data at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
