This policy explains what information periotable.com (“the site”, “we”) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the site has no accounts, sets no cookies of its own, and collects personal information only when you choose to send it through the contact form. Advertising on the site is served by Google, which uses cookies as described below.
Who is responsible
The site is operated by the periotable.com team. For any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@periotable.com.
What we collect
Technical data when you visit. Like every website, the site receives your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the page that referred you. This data is processed by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare keeps request logs for a limited period; we see only aggregate statistics such as the number of visits per page and per country. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.
Contact form. When you write to us, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. They are transmitted to our mailbox through an email delivery service and are used only to reply to you. We keep the correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle your request, and delete it afterwards on request.
Nothing else. The site has no user accounts, no newsletter and no tracking scripts of its own. Quizzes and calculators run entirely in your browser and send nothing back to us.
Advertising and Google AdSense
The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies:
- Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visit to this site and to other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use these cookies to show you ads related to your interests and to limit how often you see the same ad.
- Where the law requires it — in particular in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — a consent message is shown before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time through that tool or the links below.
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the site:
- Cloudflare (hosting and security), which processes the technical data described above;
- Google (advertising), under the terms above;
- the email delivery service that carries contact-form messages to our mailbox.
Each of these providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards provided for in their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in Europe — you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. Since the only personal data we hold is what you sent us through the contact form, a request to contact@periotable.com is usually all that is needed. We answer within one month.
Children
The site is an educational resource and is suitable for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the contact form is intended for adults. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
External links
Pages on the site link to the sources of their data — IUPAC, NIST, PubChem, Wikidata and others. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. Significant changes will be noted on this page for a period after they take effect.
